Administrative Assistant

The City Club of Idaho Falls, a local non-profit that promotes speakers and events of public interest, is looking for a qualified candidate in the Idaho Falls area. Ideal candidate would have 2-3 years of experience, be highly self-motivated, professional, and capable of assisting with the promotion of the non-partisan, non-sectarian club to its members, financial sponsors and the community. Preferred candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be organized and dependable; must have strong oral and written communication and proficient in Microsoft Office; must be capable of collecting payment and handling some financial responsibilities. Position is part-time, with some hours fixed and others variable for around 10-15 hours per week. Compensation based upon experience.

Job Duties

  • Event Management: Handle logistics such as scheduling, collect RSVPs and monies from ticket sales, manage event reception, handle payments to vendors, and be present to all events.
  • Marketing: Provide current content on upcoming events or announcements to marketing firm or media groups. Post club and event content to social media pages. Seek opportunities to promote the club.
  • Communications: Maintain communications with members, sponsors and others. Manage membership renewals. Assist board members in sponsorship and grant requests.
  • Board Support: Establish agendas with board president, maintain communication and minutes for the board, attend monthly board meetings.
